Woburn Abby is probably Bedfordshire’s most famous landmark. This Abby is just as breathtaking on the inside as it is on the outside. The Abby has been home to the Dukes of Bedford for nearly 400 years. It sits on 3,000 gorgeous acres of grounds and is in itself a building of unique history, being present for over four hundred years of English trials and tribulations.

Shuttleworth Collection in Biggleswade contains a brilliant collection of motorcycles, motorcars, aircraft and much more. This aeronautically based museum is located at the Old Warden Airfield and is one of the most prestigious in the world for it’s collection of historically significant and well preserved aircraft.

Stondon Motor Museum in Lower Stondon is home to a collection of almost five hundred cars in five different exhibition halls. You can take a trip down memory lane as you view vehicles from the turn of the century all the way up through some modern day classics. Most of these vehicles are part of the largest collection in the country.

Whipsnade Zoo is one of the most popular attractions in England. It houses over two thousand animals from giant rhinos to majestic lions all the way down to mischievous meerkats. They even have a host of penguins. This is a beautiful zoo that puts a lot of focus on natural habitat and comfort for their animals. They are strong in their conservation efforts.

If you have a thirst for the historic, there are many castles throughout the region along with many roman ruins. These historic structures are at all different levels of repair and disrepair, from fully restored structures, all the way down to earthworks, which means there isn’t too much left of the original structure.
